Just to say that I fondly remember the Seven Stars Inn (amongst other country pubs) from my days as a junior doctor at Copthorne Hospital in 1981......It seemed doomed to closure then and was a real step back in time tardis type place! We kept coming back though and it was great fun - you got served straight away! Sorry to hear that it is being refurbed as dwelling now - but in this day and age....HeyHo.Nigel Huggins
Just found this, searching for the Seven Stars. My great-grandmother - Harriet Morris- was born there. Her parents, John & Elizabeth were the Innkeepers. Does anyone know if it stayed in the ‘Morris’ family long afterwards? I believe that family owned and ran the pub in the 1940’s. My father was a summertime visitor/ evacuee to his uncles and aunts in the Westbury area during WW2- and told me stories of the tiny and very basic inn!
