Pheasants - nil,

...Chester - erm, 6

I don't think we're particularly proud of that.

I wish he'd concentrate on hunting out all the photos I've inadvertently deleted from iPhoto. Not as bad as it seems as I do tend to squirrel the good 'uns away as I go on - but even so....I'm pretty cross with myself right now. Waaaaaiilllll!!!!

As soon as I saw the photo Braised Pheasant with Quince popped in my head. Something my Grandma used to make in the Aga, happy memories.

Mountaineer, how I do love your posts, particularly when they take me places I would never get to on my own.

Has Chester now finished his pheasant season?

Oh dear - Chester is perhaps a bit too enthusiastic!

Do you rent him out?

Your Quince looks like the same variety as mine; Vranja I think.

Impressive pheasant catching. Free food? Clever dog. Sympathy for the deleted pictures. Is there some way of retrieving them? Delete usually just means hidden.

Impressive quince too. Somehow I think this sort of tree would be much better to put a partridge (or a pheasant?) in than the traditional Christmas Pear Tree. .....Two Turtle Doves and a Pheasant in Quince Tree.

It even scans, too.
