What a swell party that was.......

Down the mountain we went, dressed in our finest 'smart casuals', to a party in Asterley where 22 people sat down to dine by candlelight. What a wonderful feast it was, complemented by excellent company.

The old year slipped away and we greeted 2008 with fusillades of crackers, party poppers and fizz. Glasses were raised with new friends - and old friends remembered too. Across the valley in Minsterley fireworks lit the sky - a cue for the family's dogs to slink indoors and quiver under tables. Dogs don't do celebrations do they?

Resolutions? None I'm afraid. Things seem fine the way they are. Maybe next year.

Dinner by Candlelight, how wonderful, and what better way than to enjoy with friends and family.

I am making no new year resolutions, but I do wish for an inner peace, and for peace throughtout the world.

Happy New Year to you Mountainear.

New Year's resolutions?....mine are to rid my house of the flu that all bar me have had [luckily I had my flu jab] and to do my best to rid myself of my crutches....I think surgery will be the only answer so lets hope another new knee will be on the plans for me. I hope the New Year brings you the very best of health and lots of happiness. A x

Love your careless indifference to New Year's Resolutions! I have just resolved to make some ones I might actually keep, well some of them.
