Just when one thinks it's all over....

The BBC weather forecaster who announced just before 1.00pm that,  'No, it wasn't snowing in Wales' should have walked over to the window and checked. I did and this is what I saw:
Yep, great big white fluffy flakes tumbling like goosedown from a leaden sky. My desktop weather widget shows lots of minus figures and more sleet and snow over the next few days. Yesterday's optimistic post about the awakening world looks a bit silly now doesn't it? Sigh.

Here are yesterday's snowdrops - literally under the weather this afternoon.
Still it's an ill wind etc...I went out and froze my fingers photographing trees and branches which could be converted digitally to quite interesting almost abstract shapes:

Nooooooo - you've had your share of snow over there, and the poor beleaguered olympians are skiing on slush and hay bales. Will it ever end? Will you ever see a definitive melt? Will spring arrive?
Thinking of you and looking at the cherry blossoms.......

Ah yes we have that same problem with weather forecast it must be a celtic thing. Here in brittany we kept being told by the Meteo we had no snow and yet there it was outside the window making the world white again. Today however we have your yesterdays sunshine so tomorrow no doubt we shall have your left over snow too!

Could you start a campaign to have the WInter Olympics in the mountain kingdom?

Your pictures are lovely!! But quite frankly, I'm glad the snow has crossed the Atlantic and is visiting someplace other than here! ;-))) I hope it doesn't stay long, and spring continues!!

Oh dear! I hoped that you have had it all! I will take the fully winter equipped car then...

Here's hoping it all disappears over night - I have to drive to the Welshpool metropolis in the morning for my MOT!

I keep looking at the weather map and seeing the snow over your mountain. We were supposed to have some here tonight but so far, not arrived.

Oh No! I hope it's not coming in this direction!

It snowed down here in the valley too. I was sort of hoping we had seen the last.

It must be bad with you - we've even got your surplus down here today. Grey mushy slush. Still we are in for a hot summer.

Rotten old snow, I hope it goes as quick as it came. We've had a few flakes falling but none laying, as yet. It's time to move on - has nobody told the weather?
Just been catching up with your blogs and am wowed by your peaceable kingdom painting. It's fab.
And the marmalade and knitting and massive eggs... a good read has been had!

Hello - another Frenchie here, in Normandy and despite the weather forecast saying fine we had snow. It has all gone now but I have this strange feeling there is still more to come. I am now officially fed up with snow and so are the animals.
