Soot on ceiling, windows, curtain rails, sofas. And, as we know, pigeons are just poop-machines, so soot wasn't the worst memento.......rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00474723200653576051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22769896.post-32213408621099242752010-03-27T15:25:46.259+00:002010-03-27T15:25:46.259+00:00Well, that ended well. Huge mess and lots of bird-shaped patterns on the windows. While B was catching Mr Jackdaw, Mrs Jackdaw fell down too. B put Mr out and went back for Mrs, at which point Mr fell down the chimney for a second time. Two birds, one man lots of squawking and swearing - I went shopping and left them to it!Maggie Christiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16047691937064748860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22769896.post-17425606647038160362010-03-27T12:16:53.773+00:002010-03-27T12:16:53.773+00:00Yes they are beautiful birds. For a long time we had a family that nested in our eves and recently another family that discovered another whole in the sofits through which they could enter and then as this was near the tip of the cavity wall pecked out a large quantity of cavity wall insulation.Fenniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02377814681496294457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22769896.post-6857149144402781862010-03-27T12:13:32.094+00:002010-03-27T12:13:32.094+00:00I'm rather fond of starlings - I liken them to...I'm rather fond of starlings - I liken them to the cockney barrow boys of the bird world, all "oi! oi! oi!", thumbs-behind-braces, elbows out, barging their way onto the bird table. Black beady eyes and sharp pointy beak, you wouldn't want to pick a fight with them if you were, for e.g., a blue tit or summink.Mrs Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06289121990808465890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22769896.post-41849728045336092742010-03-27T11:47:21.963+00:002010-03-27T11:47:21.963+00:00I do love happy endings!
